Testimony Time!
Guys! Testimony time! I’ve got such a great way to praise the Lord and celebrate 21 days left til I leave —wait til you read this!
Awhile back I requested prayer on FB for having lost a few important items. One I found, PTL. The other -a suitcase I brought home from Spain, with my good backpack inside-I never found. They GONE 🤷🏻♀️
So I was thinking about how to get my stuff back over; I prefer to take a mix of suitcases 🧳 which I’ll use for conference travel, and big plastic trunks, which handle the heavy weight of international travel so much better.
But I don’t have the money to buy big plastic trunks— I even spent some time last week checking at different stores. And I finally decided, “Oh well, I’ll have to figure out another solution.”
Then my friend (and former missionary colleague from my West Bank days) texted me: “I have a bunch of Gorilla boxes from when I was in the army. Do you want these? I’ve just been storing them in my basement.” And she lives just down the street!
So I got the *first three* last night! And with the suitcases I’ve already got from the Potomac Network Dorcas House, I’m ready to start packing. And she’s got more than I need-so I can save a few for future trips.
Isn’t God amazing?!? Just when I stand in Walmart and think, “I can’t afford these boxes, so I’ll just do without,” God reminds a friend that she’s ready to let go of hers. They’re heavy-duty, wheels-and-all reminders of God’s faithfulness and the generosity of God’s people.
I’ve also received some other donations that came from my Amazon wishlist, thanks to a friend who works at Costco and I’m so incredibly thankful for all of you who have chosen to meet some of these more concrete needs.
